Oops! I meant to post this prior to the post on  the Oak Grove visit! Oh, well. I wanted to thank everyone for sharing their information on the community resource projects. Field trips can be both educational and fun all wrapped into one. I know that we can all remember field trips from when we were in grade school and we can remember the excitement we felt to be able to get a day off of school and enjoy a day with our friends. Whether it was the zoo or a play or just a trip to the park, these were some of my fondest childhood memories. Just as a reminder: If you are interested in a field trip to the zoo, they offer educational packets geared for the grade of the child along with the curriculum standards that are being met.
